In India, JSW MG Motor India is constantly introducing its models with new updates. Now the company has launched its popular SUV MG Hector in the 2025 version. It has been updated according to the new emission norms and its starting price has been kept at Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). Let’s know what’s new in it.
Now MG Hector will also run on E20 fuel
The biggest change in the 2025 MG Hector has been made in its engine. Now its petrol variants have become compatible with E20 fuel, that is, petrol mixed with 20% ethanol can be used in it. The new emission rules of the Government of India have come into effect from April 1, 2025 and Hector has been designed accordingly.
With E20 fuel support, the car has now become even more eco-friendly. This will not only reduce pollution, but it is also compatible with India’s fuel diversification mission. MG Astor had already become E20 compatible, and now Hector has also joined this list.
No special changes in Hector Plus
No changes have been made in the design or features this time, but it was not necessary as Hector is already a very advanced SUV. It will get the same 1.5L turbo petrol engine which comes with 6-speed manual and CVT automatic gearbox. The diesel version will get a 2.0L turbo engine which is only with manual transmission.
Features like 14-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system, over 70 connected car features, internet connectivity, ADAS technology, dual pane sunroof, premium interior and comfortable cabin will remain as before.
‘Midnight Carnival’ to boost sales
The company has also launched a new promotion campaign called ‘Midnight Carnival’ to further strengthen the sales of Hector, in which special offers are being given to the customers.
