5 Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Cars in India  : Maruti Suzuki is going to launch many new cars in India in the coming few years. Some of these will be facelift versions of existing models and some will be brand new vehicles. The company is now focusing mostly on hybrid technology and electric vehicles to remain competitive in the market.

At the India Mobility Global Expo held in January 2025, the company showcased its first fully electric car e-Vitara, which will be launched in India soon. Let’s know one by one which Maruti cars are going to come:

1. New 5-seater SUV (will be sold from Arena dealership)

Maruti is working on a new 5-seater SUV, which will be sold from the company’s Arena showroom. This SUV can be launched in the coming 2-3 months and will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta. It is believed that it can have the same engine and features as Grand Vitara, but its design will be different and new.

2. Maruti Fronx Hybrid (with series hybrid technology)

The new version of Fronx will come with a hybrid engine this time. It will have a 1.2 liter Z12E petrol engine with an electric motor and a 1.5 to 2.5 kWh battery. This is Maruti’s own hybrid technology, due to which this car can give a mileage of 35+ kmpl. It can be launched in the second half of 2025.

3. Maruti e-Vitara (first electric SUV)

Maruti’s first electric SUV – e-Vitara – can be launched in India in May 2025. It was shown in a fully ready condition for the first time at the auto show held in Delhi. Its battery will run for about 500 kilometers once fully charged. Its price can start from around Rs 18 lakh. It will compete with vehicles like Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Curvv EV.

4. Maruti eWX EV (cheap electric car)

Maruti is also working on a small and budget friendly electric car, which will compete with cars like Tata Tiago EV. This car named eWX can come in 2027 and its price can be kept below Rs 10 lakh. It will have a battery of about 35 kWh, which can give a range of more than 200 kilometers.

5. New Maruti Compact MPV (will compete with Triber)

Maruti is also working on a new small MPV, which will be less than 4 meters and will compete directly with Renault Triber. Its codename is YDB and it is being prepared on the base of Spacia car sold in Japan. Maruti’s new hybrid technology can also be found in this. Its price can start from around Rs 7 lakh and it can come by the end of 2027.
