TVS Motor Company has launched a new version of its electric scooter iQube in India. Now it has more battery capacity, better range and some design updates than before. For this, the company has started booking at dealerships.

Talking about iQube S:

Now it has a 3.5 kWh battery pack instead of the earlier 3.3 kWh battery.

With this, the range of the scooter has now reached 145 kilometers.

iQube S comes with two screen options –

  • The variant with 5 inch color TFT screen is priced at ₹ 1.09 lakh.
  • With 7 inch TFT display, its price has been kept at ₹ 1.17 lakh.
  • Now let’s know what is special in iQube ST variant:
  • Its cheapest version comes with 3.5 kWh battery for ₹ 1.28 lakh.

If you want more range, the top version with a 5.3 kWh battery will be available for ₹ 1.59 lakh.

This new battery pack replaces the earlier 5.1 kWh unit and can now run up to 212 km on a single charge.

Talking about the features:

The iQube S has a 7-inch TFT screen with connected features and HMI interface.

It also includes 32 liters of underseat storage space, USB charging port and LED lights.

It has front disc brakes, and 12-inch tires on both sides.

The top speed is 78 km/h and it catches the speed of 0 to 40 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

Some design changes in the iQube ST:

It now has a new dual-tone seat cover, beige finish on the backrest and inside panels.

It has a touchscreen TFT display and also supports full connected features.

Skoda and Volkswagen Sales Report – April 2025

Skoda and Volkswagen have released the sales report of their vehicles in India in April 2025. Skoda has taken a big leap this time and has now joined the top-7 car companies.

A look at Skoda sales:

Kylaq SUV has had a great start – 5,364 units sold.

2,579 units were sold in April 2024, this time there has been an increase of 183% with 7,302 units.

The Virtus sedan sold 1,048 units, while Slavia sales declined – from 1,253 to 1,048.

Sales of Kushaq and Kodiaq have also declined by 32% and 31% respectively.

No units of Skoda Superb and Octavia were sold, deliveries of Octavia have not started yet.

  • Slavia: 1,048 units (1,253 in 2024)

Volkswagen Sales Report:

Volkswagen sales have seen a slight decline this time. The company sold a total of 2,851 units in April 2025, while 3,049 units were sold in April 2024 – a decline of 6%.

Volkswagen model sales:

  • Virtus sales up 36% – 1,605 units (1,183 in 2024)
  • Taigun sales down 34% – 1,155 units (1,758 in 2024)
  • Tiguan sales also down – 91 units (108 in 2024)
