Ingredients for making paneer tikka :

  1. Paneer—250—250 (cut into cubes)
  2. Curd—1/2 cup (hung curd)
  3. Ginger-garlic paste—1 teaspoon
  4. Red chili powder—1—1 spoon
  5. Turmeric—1/4—1/4 on
  6. Garam masala—1/2—1/2 on
  7. Chaat masala – 1 teaspoon
  8. Lemon juice—1 teaspoon
  9. Kasuri methi—1—1 spoon (crushed by hands)
  10. Salt—according to taste
  11. Mustard oil—1 teaspoon
  12. Capsicum—1—1 into pieces)
  13. Onion—1—1 into pieces)
  14. Oil—for grilling or frying in a pan
  15. Wooden skewer—baked

Method of making paneer tikka :

Take curd in a bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, all the spices, and lemon juice to it. And add mustard oil. Add pieces of paneer, capsicum, and onion to this mixture. Mix well so that all the pieces are well coated. Marinate it in the fridge for at least 1 hour. Put paneer, onion, and capsicum one by one in an alternate manner on the soaked skewers. Heat a grill pan, non-stick tawa, or oven on medium flame. Apply some oil and place the skewers, and fry till they become golden and crispy on all sides. Keep applying oil with a brush in between so that the tikka does not dry.

Serve paneer tikka with green chutney, onion slices, and lemon slices. An excellent choice as a party starter, kitty party, or evening snack. Use only hung curd; otherwise, the marination will leave water. Mustard oil gives a restaurant-like aroma and taste to paneer tikka. If you want, you can grill it in an air fryer or oven at 180°C for 15 minutes.
