Ingredients to make Gobhi Manchurian :
Cauliflower (in small pieces)—2 cups
Refined flour—4 tbsp
Cornstarch—3 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste—1 tsp
Red chili powder—1/2 tsp
Salt—according to taste
Water—as required
Oil—for frying
Oil—2 tbsp
Garlic (finely chopped) – 1 tsp
Ginger (finely chopped)—1 tsp
Green chili—1 (finely chopped)
Onion—1 (chopped)
Capsicum—1/2 cup (chopped)
Soy sauce—1 tbsp
Tomato sauce—2 tbsp
Chili sauce—1 tsp (optional)
Vinegar – 1 tsp
Salt—according to taste
Coriander leaves—for garnishing
Method to make Gobhi Manchurian :
Blanch the cauliflower in hot water for 3-4 minutes. Then take it out, cool it, and strain it. In a bowl, add flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander leaves, red chili powder, etc. And add salt. Make a thick batter by adding water little by little. Dip the cauliflower pieces in this batter and deep-fry till they become crispy. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic, ginger, and green chilies, and fry it. Now add onion and capsicum and fry for 1-2 minutes (not too much).
Now add all the sausages and vinegar and cook lightly. Add the fried cauliflower to the sauce and mix well. Sprinkle coriander leaves on top. Serve hot Cauliflower Manchurian with soup or noodles. You can also make it in gravy style—just add some cornstarch-water mixed slurry to the sauce and allow it to thicken. Do not overcook the cauliflower, or else it will become soft. Dry the cauliflower well before frying. If you want it more spicy, you can increase the chili sauce.
