Tata Harrier EV  : A big electric blast is about to come from Tata Motors, and that is – Tata Harrier EV. Just before the launch, this electric SUV was seen testing at high speed on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. The special thing was that this time the vehicle was completely without cover, that is, for the first time the real look of Harrier EV was captured on camera. This vehicle, seen with white color and red number plate, is registered in Maharashtra, which makes it clear that it is being produced in the Pune factory itself – just like the ICE version.

Tata Harrier EV will be India’s first Tata electric SUV in which all-wheel-drive system is being given. However, the company is calling it ‘Quad Wheel Drive’ i.e. QWD. Under this technology, one electric motor will be given on both the axles of the vehicle, which is expected to get torque of up to 500 Nm. This time the company seems to be very serious about performance because it will also be given multiple terrain modes – which may include modes like off-road, rain and snow.

Apart from this, some major changes have also been made regarding the design and exterior of the vehicle. A charging port has been provided on the rear right side and the alloy wheels are the same as those seen in the production model at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Not only this, a new ‘Summon Mode’ will also be available in this vehicle, which can be used for self-parking.

Now if we talk about its launch, then the company has officially confirmed that Tata Harrier EV will be launched in India on 3 June 2025. Its estimated price can be between Rs 25 to 30 lakh. It is going to directly compete with Mahindra’s upcoming XUV.e9.

There has been no official disclosure regarding the battery pack at the moment, but it is expected that it will get a battery of 60 to 75 kWh which can give a range of more than 500 kilometers on a single charge. Not only this, advanced features like V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) charging will also be provided in it, especially in its top variants.

Talking about safety, Tata Harrier EV looks very strong. It will get premium safety features like 7 airbags, hill hold assist, tire pressure monitoring system, 360 degree camera, blind spot monitoring and level 2 ADAS.

There will not be much change in the cabin, as the dashboard, seats and upholstery will be almost the same as the ICE version. But there will be a lot of features – such as a large 12.3-inch touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, JBL’s 10-speaker sound system, panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control and ventilated front seats.
