Government Institute for the Blind Girls/Boys:
This Institute is in Panipat, although this scheme was launched in 1958. Following facilities are provided to BlindGirls and Boys in this school.
- Free Education up to 10th Standards with Free Boarding and Lodging.
- Free Clothing for Students.
- Free Food Facilities
- Free Books for the students
- Blind students who studied in 10+1 or Twelevth in other school can get the staying facilities here in Panipat school hostel.
- GIB Panipat is now upgraded to 10+2.
Training Center for Adult Blind Panipat
Under this scheme Government has opened a training center for adult blind persons for the age group of 18 to 45 years. Following, Vocational training is given under this schemes.

Reimbursement Of Cost Of Aids And Appliances/ Artificial Limbs (DRC Bhiwani)
This scheme was launched in 1983, and under this scheme cost of aids and appliances is reimbursed to dist. rehabilitation centers of bhiwani.These centers are helping disabled persons.
Sirtar, Rohtak( a Home for Mentally Retarded persons)
The scheme was launched in 2009 in SIRTAR Gandhi Nagar, Rohtak, for a state-level project.Under this scheme, Home for Persons with Special Needs is provided. A State Level Home for Mentally Retarded individuals has been set-up by the State Govt. at Rohtak. Under this initiative home is being run by a Registered Government. Society i.e. Welfare Society for the Home for Persons with Special Needs, Rohtak, there is a target to accommodate 200 children (150 day scholars and 50 hostlers) in this Home.
State Awards To Disabled Persons
Under this scheme, awards are given every year to those persons who have done outstanding work in the field of welfare of disabled persons.
Niramaya Scheme
This is again a great initiative by the Haryana government, under which health insurance is provided to disabled persons specifically targeting individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation, and Multiple DisabilitiesI
