Now as June seeps in, the skies of Bihar have got a new and confusing way of playing — they tease with clouds, lure with showers, and end up with the highest waves of heat for real. Some parts of the state are getting some rainy spells, rest of the districts are still facing temperatures and humidity levels.
IMD’s 3-Day Forecast: No Major Relief Yet
There is a weather alert for June 7 to June 9, 2025, issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) The thing is before you start dreaming of the monsoon clouds…..there is no major warning, so the heat warms on for more. Bihar will witness harsher fumes and more rise in mercury almost everywhere, so the residents have to be prepared for it.

Temperature Trends: Slight Drop, Still Sizzling
With a few clouds came slight relief on June 6th. Some heavy rainfall led Patna to record a 0.8°C fall in temperature and settled down at 35.3°C. However, Buxar raised the temperature by 38.5°c — the highest ever in the state, whereas Madhepura cooled off marginally to 32.02°C. The average state for the region stayed in its tropical 35°C range.
Rainfall Report: Scattered Showers Across the State
Although the State has not been ravished by any deluge, Kishanganj recorded the highest rain — 42 mm. Mostly moderate to light showers in other districts for a bit of respite but not enough to end the heatwave story.

IMD’s Advice: Stay Hydrated and Avoid Direct Sun
In the case that the IMD has described, with heat not shying away — take basic precautions from home by staying indoors during peak hours, sipping water often, dressing light in cotton, and not over-exposing to the sun a few times. And even in some districts where the rainy season comes with humidity and heat.
