Two bowls of rice

Two bowls of finely chopped onions

Half a teaspoon of turmeric powder

Half a teaspoon of chili powder

Half a teaspoon of garam masala

One teaspoon of finely chopped green chilies

One teaspoon of finely chopped ginger

Two tablespoons of oil

Salt according to taste.

Half a teaspoon of cumin seeds

Method of making onion rice :

To make onion rice, first of all, we will soak the rice in water for half an hour. This makes the rice very fluffy. Now put two teaspoons of oil in a pressure cooker and temper it with half a teaspoon of cumin seeds. When the tempering crackles, add finely chopped onions to it and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes. Keep in mind that you use a little more onion in onion rice. This makes the rice taste very good.

Now fry the onions. When the onions are fried well, add all the ground spices to it and add soaked rice, and fry it well. When the spices and rice are fried well for two to three minutes, add half a teaspoon of garam masala and salt according to taste and cook for two whistles. Be careful that you do not remove the whistle of the cooker, as it will make the rice uncooked.

When the whistle comes out automatically, add two teaspoons of ghee to the rice, and the onion rice is ready to eat. You can also store this onion rice in the fridge for one to two days.
