Pune-Daund DEMU Train Fire: A fire broke out in a Shuttle Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) train going from Pune to Daund. This train was running today, on Monday. It is being said that there was a short circuit in the washroom of this train, which took the form of a fire.

Due to the door getting jammed, a person got trapped in the same toilet and was unable to open the door. Due to his screaming, some passengers standing outside called out to him and, after hearing his scream, they broke the door and took him out, due to which that person’s life was saved.

When this train was standing in the yard of Durg Railway Station, which is in Chhattisgarh, on Saturday at the beginning of this year, fire broke out in this coach of the empty passenger train. But there was no news of anyone being killed.

On getting the information, the railway station officials and 3 fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The fire was brought under control after 30 minutes of hard work. The officials said that the fire was so fierce that the entire coach was burned, and the smoke of the fire could be seen even from a distance.
