 Ingredients for making corn fries :

  • Sweet corn—1 cup (boiled)
  • Gram flour—2 tbsp
  • Rice flour—1 tbsp (for crispiness)
  • Ginger-garlic paste—1 tsp
  • Green chili—1 finely chopped
  • Red chili powder—1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder—1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala—1/4 tsp
  • Lemon juice—1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves—1 tbsp (chopped)
  • Salt—according to taste
  • Oil—for frying

Method of making corn fries :

If you have boiled corn, drain the excess water. Mash it lightly if needed (not completely, just press a little so that the spices stick). Take boiled corn in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chili, gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice to it. Sprinkle a little water so that the masala sticks well on the corn.

Do not add too much water, or else it will become soggy. Heat oil in a pan. Fry the corn mixture little by little on medium flame till it becomes crispy. Do not add too much at a time, or else it might stick. After frying, take out the corn on a tissue paper. Sprinkle some chaat masala on top and garnish with green coriander. Serve it as a snack with tea. Serve green chutney or tomato sauce along with it.
