Fastest-Charging Electric Cars in India : Charging an EV takes the longest, and that is the biggest headache regarding electric cars. With newer technologies, almost every EV is now cheaper and offers good range, but to spend hours charging an EV feels agonizing on road trips or in emergencies. A silver lining is since 2025 onward the country has been inundated with yet another series of electric vehicles supporting ultra-fast charging in India. Almost cutting down waiting times to zero has given them a fair chance since then.
Tata Nexon EV Max
Fast-charging configuration has been provided by Tata for Nexon EV Max. It takes about 56-minute charging from 0 to 80%, through a 50kW DC fast charger. Nice for a frequently out-and-about person with less charging required; the car also ends up giving a range of around 453 km, thus making it perfect for day trips or short weekend getaways.
Hyundai IONIQ 5
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 is not only pleasing to the eye but one of the fastest-charging electric vehicles in India! Charging 10-80% in a mere 18 minutes via a 350kW ultra-fast DC charger (if any is available) is possible due to the 800V battery system. Alternatively, with a 150kW DC charger, the IONIQ 5 charges impressively in under half an hour.

Kia EV6
The Kia EV6, much like its sibling, the IONIQ 5, is also a super-fast charger. It can go from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes when using a 350kW charger. It scores extremely high in terms of luxury, performance, and in the real world, it has a range of over 500 km-an absolute winner in every aspect for the time-conscious ones.
BYD Atto 3
The BYD Atto 3 is becoming a lot more popular in India, with its advantage of 80kW charging. The inside 50-minute charge from 0 to 80% is rather commendable for this range of pricing. That plus the build quality and features should seal the deal.
