This Raksha Bandhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a celebration reward of 1.27 crore women. According to the Ladli Behna Yojana, all the beneficiaries will get ₹250 directly credited into their bank accounts by August 9, and hence the festival will be one of dignity and empowerment.
A Symbol of Affection, Not Just Financial Aid
Calling Rakhi a sign of uninvited brotherly love, the Chief Minister announced, “Our government will ensure that all Ladli Behna receive ₹250 in advance of Rakhi as a symbol of love.” Modest as it is, the amount indicates an emotional investment at its core as far as women’s self-respect and economic independence are concerned.
Increased Monthly Assistance to ₹1500 from October
Enrolled women now get ₹1250. CM Yadav, however, assured that the figure will go up to ₹1500 from October. The hike is being proposed as a Diwali gift, empowering women again in festival season. The announcement was made during a state-level ceremony at Nalwa village near Ujjain, where CM distributed funds directly on the stage.
26th Installment Credited to 1.27 Crore Women
On July 12, the government credited the 26th installment of Ladli Behna Yojana to all 1.27 crore beneficiaries in their accounts, reflecting its continued commitment to women’s welfare.
In a boost for a self-sufficient woman again, the MP government will provide an additional ₹5,000 relief to those who register and get employed in readymade garment units or factories. This apart from their regular scheme benefits and will help first-time women workers.
From a Welfare Scheme to a Women’s Movement
The Ladli Behna Yojana is now not merely a scheme, but a movement towards transformation. The state is going to increasingly increase monthly assistance to ₹3,000 with a vision to empower every sister to be independent and stand on her own legs. It’s a move towards real transformation, rather than political promises.
