Randeep Hooda’s Shocking Wedding Ritual: Why He Was Told ‘You’re a God Now’ in Manipur
Randeep Hooda shares wild details from his Manipur wedding with Lin Laishram. From sacred traditions to AK47s and a pee bowl this story beats any film.
Randeep Hooda’s Wedding Turns Into Real-Life Drama
Randeep Hooda never thought his wedding would feel more intense than any movie role. When he married actress Lin Laishram in Manipur he stepped into a world of rituals he had never seen or heard of and what happened next left him stunned.
A Wedding Far from Bollywood Glamour
Instead of marrying in Mumbai in a fancy ceremony Randeep went to Imphal with just a few close friends. People talked because he was not marrying a Jat girl but he did not care. He wanted to respect Lin’s Meitei culture and do everything the right way. He said it felt like a civil war and not a wedding because there was so much happening at once.
Lost in Traditions He Never Knew Existed
Randeep said he had no idea what these rituals were or how to perform them. One of his friends from Assam Rifles stepped in and helped him. Lin showed him some videos to explain things but Randeep was busy shooting for his film so he could not prepare much. Even with all the confusion he went ahead with the wedding with an open heart.
The Bowl the Umbrella and Becoming ‘God’
One part of the ceremony left him completely shocked. He was given a bowl and an umbrella. When he asked why they told him if he needed to pee he should do it in the bowl under the umbrella because he was now a god and gods are not allowed to move. He had to sit straight and look serious while guests came and watched him.
From Vows to AK47s A Wedding Like No Other
As soon as the wedding ended something unbelievable happened. People took out hundreds of AK47s and raised them in the air. It was a local tradition but to Randeep it felt like a war zone. It was the most unexpected wedding moment of his life.
Culture Meets Commitment
Randeep did not just marry the woman he loved he accepted her traditions with full respect. He went from groom to god and learned that love sometimes means stepping far outside your comfort zone in the name of trust and tradition.
