Sawan 2nd somwar: 21 july 2025
Sawan’s second Monday will be on 21st July. Many rare yoga combinations are being formed on this day. On this day, there will also be a fast of Kamada Ekadashi, which completes all the siddhis. Additionally, there will be Amrit Siddhi and Sarvarth Siddhi Yoga. Budhaditya Yoga will be formed due to the conjunction of Sun and Mercury in Cancer.
Harihar Yoga is also being formed due to the conjunction of Monday and Ekadashi. That is, Monday is Lord Shiva’s day and Ekadashi is for Lord Vishnu.
1. Shiva Abhishek:
Abhishek means to please Lord Shiva by bathing him after washing his feet etc. In this, if Panchamrit Abhishek, Rudrabhishek, Jalabhishek are done in many ways and then Panchopchar or Shodashopachar worship is done. By doing Abhishek, Lord Shiva immediately becomes happy and blesses. Chant 1 rosary of Om Namah Shivaya mantra every day throughout the month of Sawan by speaking your wish. By chanting, you will have a direct connection with Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva will surely listen to you and shower his blessings.
2. Keep Ekadashi fast:
Keep Ekadashi fast. Eat satvik food a day before the fast i.e. on Dashami tithi. Do not consume onion, garlic, meat, alcohol, egg etc. Maintain purity in mind and body. Avoid lust, anger, greed, attachment, ego. By observing this fast properly, all your wishes will be fulfilled.
3. Donate to the poor:
On this day, donate red clothes, jaggery or food to the poor or Brahmins. By donating, obstacles in life are removed and you will get the combined blessings of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.
