Afghanistan Epicenter of Earthquake – Tremors felt till Delhi-NCR and Kashmir

On Saturday afternoon, a strong earthquake was felt near Afghanistan and Tajikistan. On the Richter Scale, it was measured as 5.8, but the tremors were felt in many areas of North India. In India, the earthquake was felt in Delhi-NCR and Kashmir. 

On Saturday afternoon, around 12:17 p.m., when everyone was enjoying their weekend in Delhi-NCR and Kashmir, they felt the mild to moderate tremors of the earthquake. This sudden change on the Earth spread panic and fear everywhere. 

Near the main border of Afghanistan and Tajikistan, the area which is already declared a sensitive area for the earthquake was the Epicenter of this. The NCS ( National Center of Seismology) announced that the earthquake was at a depth of 86 kilometers below the border area. 

Kashmir and Delhi in Panic

Soon after the earthquake hit Kashmir, all the people of the Kashmir valley came out of their homes and offices and gathered outside. A video showing this from Srinagar has also gone viral on Social Media, and all the people are running outside of homes and offices to save their lives.

Apart from that, similar incidents have also been felt in Delhi-NCR, and everyone was sharing their experience on social Media. 

No Harm or Damage, everything is fine!

After such a strong earthquake, where everyone was terrified, the good news came into the limelight that no damage or any harm had been seen anywhere due to the Earthquake. The government is already into the rescue plan to see if any harm or damage occurred. They are continuously monitoring the situation so that everything is under control. 

Reason behind the occurrence of the earthquake in that area! 

The Border of Afghanistan and Tajikistan is the main area where the Eurasian and Indo-Australian Plates collide. This is the reason that this place is at the top list where the majority of earthquakes occur. For quite a long time, many big tremors have now felt in this area.
