Bihar SHS ANM Recruitment 2025: A big opportunity has come up for the youth looking for a government job in Bihar. The State Health Society, Bihar – SHS, has released bumper recruitment for the posts of ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery). In this recruitment notification issued under Advt. No. 08/2025, applications have been invited for a total of 5006 posts. The application process started on 14 August 2025, and the candidates have been given time till 28 August 2025 to fill out the online form. Applications for this recruitment will be accepted only through the official website shs.bihar.gov.in.
Application fee and category-wise exemption
Candidates applying for this recruitment will have to deposit the fee as per the category. Candidates from General, BC, EBC, EWS, and other states outside Bihar will have to pay a fee of ₹ 500. At the same time, the application fee has been fixed at ₹ 125 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), female candidates of all categories, and 40% or more disabled candidates of Bihar. The fee will be paid only through online mode; any kind of offline draft or challan will not be accepted.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
To apply for the posts of ANM, candidates must have a two-year full-time ANM training diploma from a recognized institute. Apart from this, it is mandatory for the candidate to be registered with the Bihar Nurses Registration Council (BNRC). An application without registration will not be considered valid.
Age Limit and Relaxation
According to the recruitment notification, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 21 years and the maximum age at 40 years as on 1 August 2025. However, reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per the rules of the government. Only those who have valid certificates will get the benefit of this.
Details and division of posts
According to the advertisement issued, out of a total of 5006 posts, appointments will be made under different programs. These include 4197 posts for ANM (HSC), 510 posts for ANM (RBSK), and 299 posts for ANM (NUHM). This division makes it clear that the state government is recruiting a large number of ANMs at various levels to strengthen health services.
