Chhattisgarh Balod: A sensational case has come to light from Balod district of Chhattisgarh, in which a female constable has accused Deputy Collector Dilip Uike of having physical relations with her for several years on the pretext of marriage, forcing abortion, and financial exploitation. On the complaint of the woman, the police have started an investigation by registering an FIR at Doundi police station.
Fake love lasted for eight years, and also helped financially with lakhs
In the complaint, the female constable said that the relationship between her and the Deputy Collector lasted for about eight years. During this time, the woman transferred 5 thousand rupees every month for Dilip’s studies, coaching, and other expenses. Initially, this relationship turned from friendship to love, and Dilip promised to marry the woman.
The woman said that she became pregnant for the first time in March 2017. When she told this to Dilip, he said that studies should be completed now, and then marriage and children will be thought about. Despite the woman’s refusal, he forcibly got an abortion done by feeding her medicine.
The truth did not change even after getting the job
In 2017, the woman got a job in the police department, and Dilip started studying in Durg. Both initially studied in a hostel, and later started living in a rented house. The woman continuously gave Dilip financial help in the hope of getting a job and marriage in the future.
Over time, in their meetings, Dilip kept having a relationship with the woman by repeatedly promising marriage. In 2020, when Dilip was posted in Bijapur as Deputy Collector, even then, when pressured for marriage, he said, that I have got a job, first let me settle down well.
Pregnant for the third time, forced abortion medicine
According to the woman, when she became pregnant for the third time in May 2025, Dilip forcibly gave abortion medicine on May 15 on the pretext of marriage. Even after this, he did not answer the woman’s calls on the phone. On June 2, 2025, while leaving the woman at her house, he clearly told her that he could not marry her and that the woman should do whatever she wanted to do.
Police registered FIR, investigation continues
CSP Chitra Verma said that on the complaint of the woman, a case has been registered at the Doundi police station, and statements are being taken. Clarity in this matter is expected after getting the statement of Deputy Collector Dilip Uike.
This case presents a serious picture of misuse of government position and violation of women’s rights in Chhattisgarh. At the same time, with the swift action taken by the police and the statement of the accused, the truth in the whole matter is likely to come out.
