Big gift to the farmers of Madhya Pradesh: CM Mohan Yadav will directly transfer Rs 17,500 crore

Big gift to the farmers of Madhya Pradesh: The land of Madhya Pradesh is once again going to witness the prosperity of farmers. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will directly transfer an amount of Rs 17,500 crore to the bank accounts of lakhs of farmers of the state on August 14, 2025. This amount will be given as the second installment of the year 2025-26 under the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana. The special thing is that this money will reach through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, so that there will be no possibility of any middleman or delay.

Small and marginal farmers will get big support

The small and marginal farmers of the state, who often struggle between the cost of farming and the vagaries of weather, are benefiting the most from this scheme. This direct flow of financial help will not only help in bearing the cost of farming but will also strengthen the families of the farmers. The Chief Minister has already made it clear that this scheme is linked to the self-reliance and dignity of the farmers.

Benefits to more than 83 lakh farmers so far

By March 2025, both the scope and impact of this scheme will have increased rapidly. So far, more than 83 lakh farmer families have received assistance of more than Rs 17,500 crore. These are not just figures, but the heartbeats of those farming families, in whose lives this amount has brought stability and new hope.

Start and objective of the scheme

Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana was launched in September 2020. Its biggest feature is that it provides supplementary benefits of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. While farmers get Rs 6,000 annually from the central government under the PM Kisan Yojana, an additional Rs 6,000 is given from this state scheme. That is, the farmer of Madhya Pradesh becomes entitled to get assistance of Rs 12,000 annually. This amount is transferred to the accounts of farmers in three installments of Rs 2,000 each every year.

Eligibility and rules

To avail this scheme, the farmer must be a registered beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Also, his e-KYC must be complete, and he must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh. Only those farmers will be considered eligible who have cultivable land and who are actually doing farming. The government has clarified that income tax payers, government employees, and elected representatives will remain out of the purview of this scheme.

PM Kisan Yojana also supported

This relief is also important for farmers because it is linked to the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana of the Center. Under this central scheme, which started in December 2018, farmers are given Rs 6,000 annually in three installments. It is operated by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and the state governments ensure the identification of beneficiaries. Madhya Pradesh’s Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana takes this framework forward and provides additional support to the farmers.

New heights for farmers’ hopes

When the burden of ever-increasing expenses on farming and uncertainties of weather worries farmers, then such schemes prove to be a lifesaver for them. The Madhya Pradesh government claims that this financial assistance is not just an amount but an effort to honor the hard work of farmers. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav says that such schemes are very important to make farming a profitable deal and to make farmers self-reliant.

August 14 will prove to be a memorable day for lakhs of farmers of the state, when crores of rupees will reach their accounts with a single click. This initiative will strengthen the agricultural system of the state, along with improving the economic health of the farmers. In the coming times, the pace of development in villages is expected to accelerate due to the impact of this scheme.
