Premanand Maharaj: Many times in life, we experience that people come to us only in their time of need. As long as their work is done, they stay with us, but as soon as their time changes, they forget us and move on. This experience is faced by every person who tries to do good for others selflessly. In such a situation, the mind becomes sad, and one does not understand how to handle oneself. Saint Premanand Ji Maharaj has given a very beautiful and deep answer to this question in his satsang.
This is the nature of the world
Premanand Ji Maharaj says that first of all, one should accept that this is the nature of the world. Here, no matter how much good you do for someone, it is not necessary to get gratitude or respect in return. Rather, many times the same people stand against you, whom you had once supported.
People support only as per their needs
Maharaj Ji says that in this world, almost everyone maintains relations only after looking at their own benefit. People forget your goodness and do not even hesitate to insult you. Therefore, it is useless to feel sad thinking about why someone did not appreciate your favors.
Leave the feeling of a relationship and adopt the feeling of service
According to Maharaj Ji, the easiest way to avoid this sorrow is not to have the feeling of a relationship while doing something for someone. Keep this resolution in mind that whatever you are doing, we are doing it for God. When we dedicate every service to God, then we do not feel any pain due to the behavior of the person in front.
Most pain comes from our own people
Premanand Ji further says that often those people hurt us the most, who we consider our own. This is the illusion of the world. That is why the mind should always have the feeling that whatever you are doing is the service of God, and in return, you should expect only from God.
Do not make the mind sad
Maharaj Ji says that when you work considering God as the witness, then no one’s deception or neglect will disturb you. God is watching everything-your intentions and the behavior of the other person. In such a situation, it is not at all appropriate to make your mind sad and weaken your feelings.
