Delhi Weather Update: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for rain for Sunday. The department says that the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day, and light to moderate rain may occur in most areas. Heavy showers with thunder are also expected at some places.
Relief from the heat on Saturday
On Saturday, the weather showed its different mood. There was humid heat throughout the day, but by evening, the weather changed, and there was a possibility of rain. During this, the maximum temperature was recorded 0.9 degrees above normal, i.e,. 35.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature reached 25.7 degrees Celsius.
The mood of the weather will change from Sunday
The weather will take a complete turn on Sunday. According to the department, light to moderate rain will occur in most areas, and the maximum temperature will be limited to 31 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the minimum night temperature is expected to be around 23 degrees Celsius. This means that the night weather will be somewhat pleasant amidst the humidity of the day.
Clouds will rain continuously from 25th August
According to the IMD forecast, the clouds will become denser from 25th August. There is every possibility of moderate rain on this day. The maximum temperature can be 31 degrees, and the minimum temperature can be 22 degrees. After this, on 26th and 27th August, there can be a period of rain with thunderstorms, which will give great relief to the people from the heat.
Signs of rain on the 28th and 29th of August, too
This series of rain will not stop here. The department has also warned of rain with thunderstorms on the 28th and 29th of August. On both these days, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees, and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 23 degrees. The atmosphere will be full of moisture due to continuous rain, and the weather is expected to remain pleasant.
Both relief and caution are necessary
While the rain will give relief to the people from humidity, problems like waterlogging and traffic obstruction can also come up during heavy showers. The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to be cautious while going out in the coming days and keep an eye on the weather updates.
