Tata Sierra ICE & EV Set for 2025 Launch – Full Details Inside

Tata Motors is preparing to bring its iconic SUV Tata Sierra back on Indian roads in a new and luxurious avatar. This SUV was once the first choice of the youth, and now Tata is bringing it back with a modern look and new technology. The special thing is that this time Sierra will come in two different versions – one with Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) . petrol / diesel engine and the other Electric Version, i.e. a fully battery-powered model.

Launch Timing – When will the new Sierra come?

Tata first showcased the production version of its Sierra ICE at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in Delhi in January 2025. This SUV can come in the market anytime between July to December, the second half of the year 2025. Initially its ICE version will be launched and a few months after that the Electric version will also be available to the customers.

Design – Modern style with classic look

The design of the new Tata Sierra has been made in such a way that it reminds of the old Sierra and also matches with today’s technology. Its most unique part is its black roofline, which gives a kind of floating roof effect in combination with the panoramic sunroof. The entire body of the SUV has a curvy design and muscular look, which makes it look very stylish and premium on the road.

The rear of the vehicle has a clamshell style tailgate, on both sides of which there are horizontal LED tail lights. The D-pillar has been blacked out, which makes it sporty and different. Although the look of both ICE and EV will be quite similar, the ICE version will still have a slightly different front grille, new bumper and new design alloy wheels.

Engine and battery options – both power and performance

Tata is preparing to offer two engine options in the ICE version:

1.5 liter turbocharged petrol engine – which will give good performance for both city and highway.

2.0 liter diesel engine – for those who travel long distances and want power.

If we talk about Electric Sierra, then Tata can offer two battery options in it, out of which the bigger battery can give a range of more than 500 km. Also, DC fast charging support will also be available in it, so that the vehicle can be charged to a great extent in just a few minutes.

Tata’s EV Planning – Electric in every segment

Tata is now gradually working towards bringing EV models in all its segments. Harrier EV is also coming soon, which will come in the market before Sierra ICE. After this, the company has more electric models in the lineup, due to which Tata can become a big player in the electric segment in the coming time.
