Gold Rate Today 30 August: Gold and silver prices in India are constantly making new records. On Friday (29 August), the domestic market once again saw a boom. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), till the market closed, the price of 24 carat gold was ₹ 1,02,388 per 10 grams, and the price of silver was ₹ 1,17,572 per kg. Since the markets are closed on Saturday and Sunday, these rates will now remain till Monday.

23 carat gold: ₹ 1,01,978 per 10 grams

22 carat gold: ₹ 93,787 per 10 grams

14 carat gold: ₹ 59,897 per 10 grams

Silver (999 purity): ₹ 1,17,572 per kg

How much did the prices increase in the past day?

Gold became costlier by ₹ 2,100 in the Delhi bullion market on Friday as compared to Thursday and reached ₹ 1,03,670 per 10 grams, which is a record level so far. Earlier on Thursday, 24-carat gold was ₹ 1,01,570 per 10 grams. Similarly, gold of 99.5% purity also rose by ₹ 2,100 to ₹ 1,03,100 per 10 grams.

Recent records and trends

7 August 2025: Gold jumped ₹ 3,600 per 10 grams in a single day.

8 August 2025: Gold of 99.9% and 99.5% purity reached its highest level of ₹ 1,03,420 and ₹ 1,03,000, respectively.

Silver fell by ₹ 1,000 to ₹ 1,19,000 per kg during this period, which is still considered a high level.

Impact of the international market

The direct impact of gold and silver rates at the international level was also seen on the Indian market.

Gold: Remained stable at $3,407.39 per ounce.

Silver: Remained stable at $38.84 per ounce, down 0.52%.

Experts’ opinion

HDFC Securities analyst Saumil Gandhi says that the weakness of the rupee and strength in the international market have taken gold to new heights.

According to Tradejini COO Trivesh D, industrial demand for silver is increasing, but gold is still the safest option for investors in a situation of uncertainty.

Status of the futures market (MCX)

Gold Futures: October delivery deal closed ₹168 higher at ₹1,02,268 per 10 grams. 16,419 lots were traded in it.

Silver Futures: September delivery fell ₹144 to ₹1,17,030 per kg. In this, 4,879 lots were transacted.
