RPSC Agriculture Department Recruitment Exam 2024: After a long wait, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has finally released the full schedule of the Agriculture Department Recruitment Exam 2024. Commission Secretary Ramniwas Mehta informed that these examinations will be conducted from 12 October to 19 October 2025.
This recruitment drive is considered to be one of the biggest agriculture sector examinations in the state, in which selection is to be done for many posts from Assistant Agriculture Officer to Agricultural Research Officer. The day and time of the examinations have been clearly fixed, so that the candidates can finalize their preparation.
Day 1: General Knowledge and Assistant Statistical Officer
The examination will start on October 12. There will be an examination of Assistant Statistical Officer (Economic and Statistics Department) from 10 am to 12 noon. After this, there will be a general knowledge paper from 3 pm to 3:40 pm.
This general knowledge test will be mandatory for the candidates of all 13 posts. Its purpose is to test not only the subject knowledge of the candidates but also the general knowledge related to Rajasthan and the country, and abroad.
Second day: Assistant Agriculture Officer and Statistics Officer
The Assistant Agriculture Officer exam will be conducted on October 13 from 10 am to 11:50 am. At the same time, the Statistics Officer exam will be held from 3 pm to 4:50 pm. This day is going to be very important for the candidates in the agriculture and statistics fields.
Third day: Agricultural Research Officer (Chemistry and Agronomy)
Agricultural Research Officers’ exams will be held on October 14. The morning session will be from 10 am to 11:50 am for the Agricultural Research Officer-Agricultural Chemistry exam.
The afternoon session will be held from 3 pm to 4:50 pm for the Agricultural Research Officer-Agronomy exam. Both these exams are very important for the candidates wishing to make a career in the research field.
Fourth day: Entomology and Botany
On October 15, the morning session will be for the Agricultural Research Officer-Entomology exam. This will be followed by the Agricultural Research Officer-Botany exam in the afternoon. The exams of both these subjects related to plants and entomology will test the in-depth knowledge of the candidates.
Fifth day: Plant Pathology and Horticulture
On October 16, the Agricultural Research Officer-Plant Pathology exam will be held from 10 am to 11:50 am. At the same time, the Horticulture exam will be conducted from 3 pm to 4:50 pm.
In view of the increasing horticulture production and plant disease management in Rajasthan, these posts will play an important role in the agricultural system of the state.
Sixth day: Assistant Agricultural Research Officer (Chemistry and Agronomy)
On October 17, it will be the turn of Assistant Agricultural Research Officers. The morning session will be for the Agricultural Chemistry exam, and the afternoon session will be for the Agronomy exam.

Seventh Day: Assistant Officer (Entomology and Botany)
On October 18, the Assistant Agricultural Research Officer-Entomology exam will be held in the morning. The Assistant Agricultural Research Officer-Botany exam will be conducted in the afternoon. This day will be especially important for the candidates specializing in plants and entomology.
Last Day: Concludes with Plant Pathology Exam
Assistant Agricultural Research Officer-Plant Pathology exam will be held on October 19 from 10 am to 11:50 am. With this, the entire schedule of the Agriculture Department Recruitment Exam 2024 will end.
Commission’s appeal and instructions
RPSC has appealed to all the candidates to reach the examination center on time and follow the rules. Candidates have to download the admit card from the official website of the commission, and it will be mandatory to bring it along with their identity card on the day of the examination.
The commission says that all the examinations will be conducted on time and with complete transparency. Complete information about the examination center and other guidelines will be made available on the admit card.
