UPPSC GIC Lecturer Recruitment 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has invited applications for recruitment to the posts of Lecturer in Government Inter Colleges (GIC) across the state. The application process will end on 12 September 2025, so interested candidates should apply online in time. This recruitment is the first major recruitment for lecturer posts in GIC after December 2020, which includes a total of 1,516 posts.
In this recruitment, separate posts have been set for both male and female branches. There are 777 posts in the male branch, 694 in the female branch, 43 for visually impaired students, and 2 posts in the Jail Testing School. The highest number of posts subject-wise is 190 for Physics, 184 for English, 147 for Chemistry, 146 for Biology, 162 for Hindi, 122 for Mathematics, and 105 for Civics.
Educational Qualification:
Different qualifications have been prescribed for each subject. In most subjects, post-graduation (PG) and B.Ed. in the respective subject are mandatory. For example, B.Ed. along with PG is necessary for Sociology, Geography, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, English, etc. PG is required for the Hindi subject, and graduation with Sanskrit as a subject is required. Whereas B.Ed. A degree has been considered mandatory for the Sanskrit subject.
