Renault’s Comeback : 5 New Cars Including EVs & Hybrids Set to Launch in India by 2027

Renault India is now preparing for a new beginning. After a long gap of about four and a half years, the company is going to enter the Indian market again with its new cars. This time the company will not be limited to petrol cars only, but will also focus on hybrid and electric vehicles.

Renault India CEO Venkatram Mamillapalle told in an interview that earlier the company was a little behind, but now it has made up its mind to move forward with full enthusiasm. He clearly said that now we will enter the market with an aggressive strategy.

Facelifted Kiger and Triber will come first

Renault’s new beginning will be with the facelifted Kiger and Triber. One of these cars is expected to be launched by July 2025. After this, the company is planning to bring four new SUVs and two electric cars in the coming years.

Electric and hybrid vehicles to start in India from 2027

Mamillapalle said that electric and hybrid vehicles will start in India from 2027. At present, he did not clarify which models will be there, but considering the market demand, the company will also focus on hybrid vehicles.

Third generation Duster and new Bigster also in line

After Kiger and Triber, the company is also going to bring two new big SUVs – third generation Duster and all-new Bigster. Duster is likely to come in early 2026, while Bigster may be launched in late 2026 or early 2027.

Bigster is offered in Europe only as a 5-seater, but in India it can be brought as a 7-seater to meet the needs of large families.

Renault now aims to triple market share

In FY2025, Renault’s market share was just 0.93% and a total of 38,636 cars were sold. Now the company aims to increase its share three times by 2027. For this, the company is not only expanding its product line, but is also rapidly expanding its dealership across the country. Currently, it has 362 touchpoints in India.

Apart from this, on April 22, the company has also started its new design center in Chennai, which is its largest international design studio till date. This will take more care of the preferences of Indian customers in future cars.

Conclusion

Renault is going to be very active in the Indian market in the coming times. From SUV to electric and hybrid models, the company is making a comeback with full preparation. If you are waiting for a car with new and advanced technology, then keep an eye on Renault’s next launches.
