Mahindra’s Upcoming SUVs in India : Mahindra & Mahindra has prepared many new SUV vehicles for the Indian market in the coming time. The company is going to introduce facelift versions of its popular SUV cars as well as some new electric SUVs within the next 18 to 24 months. With this step, the company will not only update its existing vehicles but will also strengthen its hold in the electric vehicle segment. Mahindra has recently started the delivery of electric vehicles named BE6 and XEV 9e in India. Now we are going to tell you about those 5 big SUVs which Mahindra is going to launch in 2025 and 2026.

New version of Mahindra Thar will be launched soon

It has been almost five years since Mahindra’s popular SUV Thar came to the Indian market. In such a situation, now it is going to be introduced with a new look and features. The company is preparing this new Thar internally under the name W515. Changes can be seen in its design and interior and it can be largely inspired by the 5-door version named Thar Rocks. However, not much change is expected in terms of engine and gearbox. The company can continue with the existing petrol and diesel engine options going forward.

Facelift version of XUV7OO is also coming

Mahindra’s most popular flagship SUV XUV7OO was launched in India in the year 2021. Now after almost four years, the company is working on its facelift version which has been named W616. This new model can come to the market in the year 2026. Its design can be seen as a glimpse of recently launched electric vehicles like BE6 and XEV 9e. Its interior can also include new features and updated technology systems. However, no changes will be made to its engine and transmission.

Electric version of XUV 3XO will also be launched

Mahindra is also preparing an electric version of its another SUV XUV 3XO, which can be brought to the Indian market by the end of 2025. Testing of this vehicle has been seen several times on roads across the country. There will be no major changes in its design, but some special badges and signature elements of the electric vehicle will definitely be added. This SUV can be cheaper than XUV4OO and will compete directly with Tata Nexon EV. Two battery options can be given in it – one 34.5 kWh battery with which a range of about 350 km can be obtained and the other 39.4 kWh battery with which a range of more than 450 km can be obtained.

A new electric SUV named XEV 7e is also coming

Mahindra is working on a new vehicle named XEV 7e to further strengthen its electric portfolio. This SUV will also be based on the company’s INGLO platform, which has already been used in the BE6 and XEV 9e. This vehicle can be launched in early 2026. Information about its interior and features has not been revealed yet, but it is likely to get two battery packs – one of 59 kWh and the other of 79 kWh. With both these batteries, the range of the vehicle can be more than 500 km. Its starting price can be around Rs 20 lakh and the top variant can go up to Rs 25 lakh.

Now it’s the turn of Thar Electric

Mahindra’s most popular and liked SUV Thar is now getting ready to come in electric avatar. The company showed its concept model to the world in August 2023 as Thar.e and now the work of turning it into reality is being done rapidly. This electric Thar is being built on a modified version of the INGLO platform. Its ground clearance and wheelbase will also be increased to make it more off-road friendly. The battery of the vehicle will be installed under the floor and its estimated range can be between 400 to 500 kilometers.
