2025 Kia Carens Premium Variant to Launch on May 8 with SUV-Inspired Design and High-End Features

- Kia India is going to launch a new version of its popular MPV Carens in India on 8 May 2025. But keep in mind, this is not a normal facelift. This new version will be more premium than before and will be positioned above the existing Carens. That is, the old model will also remain in sale and will add a new luxury version to it.
What is special in this time’s Carens?
The Carens that is currently in the market has sold more than 2 lakh units so far and has a good hold among the people. But the new model that is coming is a step ahead in both features and style. It will have an SUV-like look from the outside, which is based on Kia’s new design language.
Some of the major changes include:
- New LED headlights and DRLs
- All-new alloy wheels design
- Vertical LED taillights at the rear, which will be connected to a full-length LED bar
The body shape has not changed much, but the design has been made more clean and premium. Its look is quite similar to Kia’s new SUV ‘Syros’.
Luxury touch and high-tech experience will be available inside as well
Big changes have been made in the new Carens not only outside but also inside the cabin. Some of the features that will be seen for the first time in this segment can be found in it:
- Level-2 ADAS safety technology
- 360 degree camera view
- New dashboard and center console design
Apart from this, the old top features will also be retained, such as:
- Dual 10.25-inch screens – one for infotainment and one for digital cluster
- Ventilated front seats
- Panoramic sunroof
- Wireless charging (with cooling)
- 64-color ambient lighting
- In-built dashcam (with dual camera)
- Smart air purifier
- Bose’s 8-speaker premium audio system
- Same engine, but no compromise in performance
The engine options in this updated model will remain the same as before:
- 1.5 liter naturally aspirated petrol
- 1.5 liter turbo petrol
- 1.5 liter diesel
Both models will be side by side – one option for every budget
Kia’s strategy is to keep the existing Carens on sale as well Add to that the premium model. This will allow the company to target customers with different budgets and needs. The new model will be for those who want a premium touch, more technology and SUV-like looks in a family car.
The current Carens are priced between ₹ 10.60 lakh and ₹ 19.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new version will come in a price bracket above this.
