Jobs : The multi-modal cargo hub being developed on 87 acres, along with the Noida International Airport under construction in Jewar, will no longer be just a center of business, but will emerge as a new ray of hope for orphans and deprived youth. This project will not only strengthen the logistics capacity of the country but will also prove to be a big step towards social change.
In this cargo hub developed by Air India SATS, orphan youth above 18 years of age will be prepared for jobs by giving special training. Company officials say that in their training academies present in Delhi and Hyderabad, the youth will be guided at every level, from classroom teaching to practical experience. They will be able to learn every aspect of cargo operation, warehousing, and logistics.
After training, the youth will initially be involved in tasks like cargo security, documentation, and warehouse operations. As their experience increases, they will also get a chance to reach supervisor and specialist positions. While fulfilling social responsibility, the company has already provided employment and training to orphan youth at Delhi Airport, and now this initiative will also reach the youth of western Uttar Pradesh.
The structure of the cargo hub has been prepared rapidly. A centre with a parking capacity of 42 trucks and a docking area for 27 heavy vehicles has been built in the Integrated Warehousing and Logistics Zone. This project will be included in India’s largest cargo hub and will give Noida recognition as Asia’s largest logistics gateway.
Gautam Buddha Nagar MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma said, “With the opening of the airport, not only the youth of the district but the youth of entire western Uttar Pradesh will get employment. This project will write a new chapter in the economic development of the region and will make the district number one in employment.”
On the other hand, NAIL’s OSD Shailendra Bhatia said, “The construction of the cargo hub is going on at a fast pace, and it will be fully ready by the time the flight starts. This hub with a capacity of 2.5 lakh metric tonnes will provide employment to thousands of youth directly and indirectly. It will be ensured that local youth get priority.”
Air India SATS CEO Ramanathan Rajamani said, “The structure of the first phase of the cargo terminal has been built. Once the flights start, it will become a major hub for domestic and international trade. On completion, Noida will be established as Asia’s largest logistics hub.”
This project will not only boost business activities but will also provide a golden opportunity to orphans and underprivileged youth to become self-reliant. This cargo hub of Jewar will become an example of social and economic change, which will bring positive changes in the lives of thousands of youth in the coming years.
