SBI Scholarship 2025: Apply Online for ₹15,000 to ₹20 Lakh Platinum Jubilee Asha Scheme

SBI Scholarship 2025: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest public sector bank, has launched a historic initiative for students to mark its 75th anniversary. The bank has launched the Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025-26 to mark this special occasion. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to students who are serious about their studies but are unable to pursue further education due to financial constraints. This scholarship will benefit students from the school level to higher education in India and abroad.

Scholarships ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹20 lakh

The most significant feature of this scheme is that the scholarship amount will be directly determined by the level of study and the course. While schoolchildren will receive assistance of up to ₹15,000, students pursuing higher education at IITs, IIMs, medical colleges, and abroad will receive up to ₹20 lakh. This scholarship will help give wings to the dreams of millions of students.

Who will benefit?

According to an NDTV report, this scheme will only benefit students who meet the income criteria. The annual family income of students applying at the school level should not exceed ₹3 lakh. However, for college and higher education candidates, the limit is set at ₹6 lakh per annum. This move is a major relief for families whose children are academically promising but financially disadvantaged.

Reservation and Special Discounts

To maintain social balance, this scholarship also includes reservations. Fifty percent of the total seats are reserved for female students, and the remaining 50 percent for SC/ST students. Furthermore, SC and ST candidates will also receive a 10 percent relaxation in merit. This clearly demonstrates that SBI’s scheme is an effort to provide equal opportunities to all sections of society.
