2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Spotted Testing in India – All You Need to Know

Hyundai’s premium electric SUV Ioniq 5 is now going to get a new look. Its new facelift model was recently seen during testing in India. It was earlier launched at the 2023 Auto Expo and now the company is preparing for its updated version. The new model looks more stylish and advanced than before.

Changes in exterior look

The model seen during testing has some new design elements on both the front and rear. The first thing that caught the eye was the new style alloy wheels, which are different in appearance and help cut the air better, which can improve the range of the vehicle. There are also slight changes in the front and rear bumpers. The rear spoiler has been made larger than before, which makes the vehicle look more sporty.

Slight change in size too

The length of the new Ioniq 5 is now 4655 mm, which is about 20 mm more than before. There has been no change in width and height. The wheelbase is still 3000 mm.

New features inside

Hyundai has made the cabin more user-friendly in this facelift model. Physical buttons are now provided on the center console, which can easily control features like heating, ventilation, parking assist. The position of the wireless charger has also become more convenient now. A new 3-spoke steering wheel has been provided which has responsive lights. Apart from this, the positioning of the infotainment system and climate control has also been improved. The new system now supports OTA updates.

New technology and safety features

Smart features like Digital Key 2, 2nd-generation dashcam, remote seat folding and intelligent front lighting have been added to the new Ioniq 5. In terms of safety, updates like steering wheel with Hands-On Detection, new Lane Assist system, and Remote Smart Parking Assist 2 have been included in it. Now this car will come with 8 airbags and even stronger body structure.

More comfortable ride, more range

Hyundai has added a new motor noise control system in it, which will make the atmosphere inside the car quieter than before. The rear motor has been given an extra insulation cover. Globally, it now gets a bigger 84 kWh battery, which gives this car a range of about 570 kilometers (WLTP). However, there is no confirmed information yet on whether this battery will come to India or not. Currently, only the 72.6 kWh version is being sold in India.
