Weather changes in Haryana: The weather in Haryana is set to change once again. Since the monsoon’s departure in early September, the state has experienced a steady increase in heat and humidity. However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now issued a welcome forecast. According to the department, light rain is expected in six Haryana districts—Rewari, Mewat, Palwal, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Mahendragarh—on Tuesday. An alert has also been issued regarding this.
32 percent more rainfall in the monsoon season
This year’s monsoon brought more rainfall than normal to Haryana. The state received 32 percent more rainfall than the average for the entire season. This was a relief for farmers, as their paddy and cotton crops received adequate water. However, there has been no rain in the entire state since September 10th, leading to a sudden change in the weather and a spike in temperatures.
Rising temperatures have increased humidity
Both day and night temperatures have increased over the past fifteen days. The maximum temperature has currently reached around 36 degrees Celsius, while the night temperature remains around 26 degrees. Humidity peaked on Sunday, causing discomfort to residents. In many areas, people endured sticky heat throughout the day, with no relief even by evening.
Changing weather will bring relief
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain on Tuesday will bring relief from the heat and humidity. In southern Haryana districts like Rewari and Mahendragarh, which are particularly affected by the heat, the raindrops will bring a sense of relief along with a cool breeze. The possibility of rain in urban areas like Gurugram and Faridabad has also raised hopes that the temperature will drop.
Relief for farmers too
Late-sown crops in the fields need moisture. The lack of rain since mid-September had caused the soil to dry out. Light rain will not only cool the weather but also prove to be a boon for crops. Agricultural scientists say that a little moisture in the fields at this time will improve preparation for wheat sowing.
Future Weather Trends in the State
The Indian Meteorological Department predicts that the weather will remain dry in most parts of Haryana in the coming days. However, the possibility of localized light drizzle cannot be ruled out. The first week of October typically sees warm days and mild cool nights. A similar trend may be observed this time as well.
Hope for Relief from the Heat
Today’s rain may bring some relief from the humid weather people have been experiencing for the past two weeks. Meteorologists believe that the maximum temperature may drop by one to two degrees after the light rain. While this drop will be slight, it will increase humidity and fresh air.
The monsoon has departed from Haryana, but the possibility of rain in six districts today has given people a new ray of hope. This rain could bring relief to those suffering from rising temperatures and humidity. Farmers are also seeing it as beneficial for their fields. Now it remains to be seen to what extent this moisture raining from the sky will bring coolness and comfort to the state.
