UP Police: A new trend is emerging among young people regarding government jobs. They are no longer content with just one job; they are increasingly choosing better options by pursuing multiple jobs simultaneously. This has been proven once again in the UP Police recruitment process. Thirty-seven female constables undergoing training at the Gorakhpur Police Lines have resigned during their training. They say they have found better career options in other departments than the police service.
Appointed in June, resigned by October
These female constables received their appointment letters on June 15th. Their training began shortly thereafter. During their training, they completed physical training, drill, law and order, and practical training. However, in the meantime, many of these trainees received job offers in other departments. All of these women had already taken examinations for health, education, banking, and central services. When their results were announced, they decided it was better to leave the police force and pursue other careers.
The police administration acknowledged the allegations and said, “This is nothing new.”
According to officials at the Gorakhpur Police Lines, all 37 resignations were submitted at different times. Superintendent of Police (City) Abhinav Tyagi stated, “Thirty-seven female recruits undergoing training at the Gorakhpur Police Lines have resigned so far. They have resigned from the police force after receiving jobs in various fields. This is their voluntary decision.” Police sources say that such resignations during training are not uncommon. Often, trainees succeed in other competitive examinations and move on to other positions.
37 out of 504 have left their jobs, and the rest are continuing their training.
A total of 504 female recruits were undergoing training at the Gorakhpur Police Lines. Of these, 37 had resigned by October. The remaining 467 or more trainees are still training. The administration maintains that its training is continuing as per regulations. After completion of training, a convocation ceremony will be held, followed by their field postings.
Incident: 37 female trainees resign from the Gorakhpur Police Lines
Time Period: Between June 15 and October 15
Reason: Finding better jobs in other departments
Current Status: Training for the remaining trainees continues
This case demonstrates that today’s youth no longer want to limit themselves to government jobs; they are choosing the best career options for themselves. Women, in particular, are no longer satisfied with just one job; they are shaping their future by taking advantage of multiple opportunities simultaneously.
