SSC CHSL 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has introduced a new system for the CHSL 2025 exam, allowing candidates to select the exam city, date, and shift of their choice. This feature is live on the Commission’s candidate portal and will remain available until 11 pm on October 28, 2025.
Advanced convenience for candidates
Previously, the SSC determined the exam center and date for all exams. However, for CHSL 2025, candidates can log in to their portal and view available slots in three preferred cities. A green “Select” button will be active next to the available slots. After selecting, the candidate will need to confirm via OTP. If a slot is not available for a particular date or city, they can choose another option.

Admit Card and City Information
The CHSL 2025 exam begins on November 12, 2025. Information about the exam city will be available on the SSC portal from November 3, 2025. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards three to four days before the exam. This will give them ample time to prepare and plan.
May be applicable to other exams in the future
While this arrangement is currently only for CHSL 2025, the Commission is considering implementing it for other exams in the future. The aim of this initiative is to make the process transparent and convenient for candidates.

This change gives candidates the freedom to plan their exam according to their convenience and will help reduce stress on exam day. This initiative by the SSC raises the possibility of candidate-centric changes in other exams in the future.
