Maruti Suzuki Set to Launch Two New SUVs in India by 2025 : Full Details Revealed

India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, is going to make two big bangs in its SUV portfolio this year. The company is preparing to launch its first all-electric SUV as well as another new SUV in the market. Recently, the company has shared important information about these upcoming vehicles along with its quarterly results. Let’s know what has been revealed so far.

First of all, let’s talk about the company’s first electric SUV – e-Vitara. This vehicle was showcased by Maruti for the first time at the India Mobility Expo in January 2025. Since then, customers were eagerly waiting for its launch. Now Maruti Suzuki has officially confirmed that the e-Vitara will be launched in the Indian market in September 2025. At the same time, its prices will also be revealed and delivery to customers will also be started.

Interestingly, units of e-Vitara have also started arriving at Nexa dealerships, so that people can see and understand the vehicle closely. Earlier, many reports were saying that this car would be launched in March or April, but now the company has clarified that the launch has been postponed a bit.

The e-Vitara will compete directly with cars like Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV and MG ZS EV in the Indian market. It will be sold exclusively through the Nexa network, which is a dedicated dealership chain for Maruti’s premium cars.

Now let’s talk about the second SUV that Maruti Suzuki can introduce this year. The company has not yet made much information public about it. However, according to auto industry sources, this SUV could be a new 5-seater mid-size vehicle, which will be sold through Arena dealerships. Some speculations also say that the company is also working on a 7-seater SUV, as Maruti currently has no presence in this segment. If this happens, it will be a completely new step for the company and can also prove beneficial in terms of competition. But no official disclosure has been made about this SUV yet, so these things can only be considered possibilities.

As far as production is concerned, Maruti Suzuki has set a target production of around 70,000 units of e-Vitara for the year 2025. A large part of this will be sent for export, while a limited number of vehicles will be available in the Indian market.

Overall, the year 2025 is going to be very important for Maruti Suzuki, especially in the SUV segment. Now it will be interesting to see how much the company is able to rule the hearts of customers through these new products.
