2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 Launched in India – New Emission-Compliant Avatar at Rs 7.93 Lakh

2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 : Keeping in mind the emission regulations in India, Kawasaki has given a new update to its adventure bike Versys 650. The company has already launched Ninja 500, Eliminator 500 and Ninja 650 in 2025 model. Now it is the turn of Versys 650, which has been changed to suit the new regulations and a new color theme has also been introduced with it.
Launch and Price
The 2025 model of Kawasaki Versys 650 is now available in India. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at Rs 7.93 lakh, which is 16,000 more than the previous model. The company had earlier also given a huge discount on the MY24 version, which can still be found in limited stock at some dealerships.
Engine update according to new rules
The new MY25 version has been prepared according to BS6 Phase 2 OBD2B emission norms, which have been implemented in the country from 1 April 2025. Although the engine of the bike is the same 649cc as before, it now meets the new standards. It has two cylinders and with liquid cooling system it gives 66 bhp power and 61 Nm torque. The gearbox is 6-speed and comes with slip and assist clutch.
Slight change in design and style
The design of the 2025 Versys 650 has been kept completely the same as before. The bike gets twin LED headlights, large windscreen and split seat which gives comfort in long distance travel. The exhaust system is underbelly which keeps the look of the bike compact.
New color option
This time the bike has been launched in only one new color – Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray. It has light green stripes with gray and black, which give it a sporty look. The previous model came in two colors but now it has been removed from the website.
Advanced features in suspension and braking
The special feature of the Versys 650 is its adventure-tourer frame and improved suspension setup. It has USD forks in the front which can be fully adjusted for compression and rebound. There is a monoshock at the rear which can be set according to the preload. For braking, there is a dual disc at the front and a single disc at the rear. Both its wheels are 17 inches.
