Nationality:
The candidate must be an Indian citizen. All categories of women, men, and the third gender can apply.
Educational Qualification:
The candidate must have obtained a graduation degree from a recognized university in the following subjects:
- Botany
- Zoology
- Forestry Science
- Environmental Science
- Agronomy
- Geography
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Geology
- Animal Husbandry or equivalent science
Age Requirement:
- General category men 21 to 37 years
- Backward class/extremely backward class men 21 to 40 years
- All category women 21 to 40 years
- SC/ST category (women and men) 21 to 42 years
- Candidates working in government service will be given 5 years relaxation in maximum age. The maximum age for ex-servicemen has been kept at 57 years.

Bihar Forest Department Vacancy 2025 (Physical Standards)
For Male Candidates:
Height: General/OBC – 163 cm, ST – 152.5 cm
Chest: Unexpanded – 79 cm, Expanded – 84 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion required)
For Female Candidates:
Height: General – 150 cm, ST – 145 cm
Chest measurement is not required.
Bihar Forest Department Vacancy 2025 (Exam Pattern)
The written exam will be in two papers:
First Paper (General Hindi):
Total Questions: 50
Marks: 100
Minimum Qualifying Marks: 30 Marks (otherwise disqualified)
Second Paper (General Studies):
Total Questions: 100
Marks: 300
Subjects: General Science, History of India, Geography, Mathematics, Civics, Mental Ability, etc.
After the written exam, the top rankers will be called for a physical standard test and an interview.
Reservation System
- Out of the total vacancies, 35% seats are reserved for women.
- Government reservation rules for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class, Extremely Backward Class, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) will be applicable.
