The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 has been relocated to Dubai because of heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan forcing the withdrawal of key PSL matches in Pakistan. The terror attack in Pahalgam which was initially marked as a cricket has now become a connect of incidents affecting world cricket.
Indian Drone Strikes Force PSL Relocation
The crisis escalated on May 8 when Indian drones struck Rawalpindi stadium an hour prior to scheduled PSl match between Karachi Kings & pen last PCZ. The match was abandoned although it was in progress following the brutal strike on the stadium resulting in severe damages, PCB declared the game as wash out. Now the rest of PSL 2025 games are moved to Dubai due to lack of security guarantee.

Given that Rawalpindi venue has been ruled out, the PSL board manoeuvred fast to seal the remaining matches.
