Chandigarh Weather Alert: Heavy Rain Forecast from July 6–9, IMD Issues Orange Alert

Chandigarh weather Alert: Monsoon has arrived in India. Rains have been witnessed in the entire country since the last week of June, while some places in North India have received heavy rains.

Before the arrival of monsoon, it was raining continuously in Chandigarh for the last few days, while in the last 2 days, the weather has improved, and the sun has come out.

On the other hand, the weather department has said that from Saturday till five days, heavy rains can be witnessed again in Chandigarh. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has put the city on orange alert, saying that lightning and wind will be seen here on Friday, while there will be heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday, and heavy rain can be seen from Monday to Wednesday.

IMD, while issuing weather forecasts and warnings, also said that light rain can be seen on 5th and 6th July at some places in Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana.

According to the weather department, in the north-eastern regions of Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, rainfall of 7 cm can be seen between 5th July to 9th July, while in different places of Chandigarh, Panchkula, Mohali, rainfall of 12 cm can be seen between 6th July to 9th July.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Chandigarh was recorded at 34.7 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature was 27.8 degrees Celsius. It was 1.7 degrees less and 3 degrees more than Wednesday. Compared to the normal temperature, the maximum temperature was 0.8 degrees lower, and the minimum 0.7 degrees higher.
