All-New Skoda Kodiaq Set To Launch in India Tomorrow – Full Details Inside

New Skoda Kodiaq  Launched : Skoda is going to launch its next generation Kodiaq SUV in India on 17 April 2025. This new Kodiaq was first shown at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 earlier this year. This SUV will be brought to India through local assembly and many major changes have been made in it. It is built on the updated MQB EVO platform, which has increased its size slightly and the cabin is now more spacious than before.

Changes that are visible at first glance:

The look of the new Kodiaq has now become more sharp and premium. The front now has a new grille, which has vertical slats and sharp design which gives it a strong look. The headlights are now split LED units that fit well into the front fascia. The bumper at the bottom has also been redesigned, which now gets wider air intakes and C-shaped air curtains which give it an even stronger look.

How does Kodiaq look from the side and rear:

The design of the SUV is clean and strong in the side profile. Deep lines, wide wheel arches and sharp panels are seen on the bonnet. The roofline is now more sloping than before, which connects to the stylish LED taillights and new tailgate at the rear. The new quarter glass and sharp rear windshield give it a modern look. Also, it includes new 20-inch alloy wheels and panoramic sunroof, which further enhance its premium feel.

Talking about the engine and variants:

Skoda will launch this SUV in two variants – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K). Both will be powered by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which generates 201 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. This engine will be mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and will also get an all-wheel drive system.

What’s new in the interior:

From the inside, the new Kodiaq now looks simpler and cleaner than before. It has a larger 12.9-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a new steering wheel. Also, the position of the gear selector has also been changed, which makes the cabin feel more open.

Who will it compete with and what could be the price:

The new Skoda Kodiaq will compete with SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Jeep Meridian in India. Its starting price can be around Rs 41 lakh (ex-showroom).
