Tata Motors was testing the facelift version of its premium hatchback Altroz for a long time. Now finally the company has announced its launch date. The new Tata Altroz Facelift will be introduced in India on 21 May 2025. Not only will there be a change in the look, but the car will also be more powerful in terms of features. Launch date and design changes
Today the hatchback segment in India has slowed down a bit, but still some vehicles are selling well. Tata Motors is now preparing to strengthen its hold in this segment through Altroz facelift.
The design of the new Altroz looks more premium and attractive than before. The position of the headlamp and fog lamp will remain the same, but their design will now be slim and stylish. The front grille can now be seen in a punch-like glossy and closed design.
New design alloy wheels will be available in higher variants. The most interesting thing is that the Altroz Facelift will now get flush type door handles, which were seen only in expensive cars till now. However, these handles will not be electronic, but will open by pulling with the hand.
Tata Altroz CNG Facelift: Will there be anything special?
Talking about the CNG variant, there will not be much change in its exterior look, because the testing models that have been seen were also quite similar to before.
There can definitely be major updates in the interior. It is expected that the new Altroz Facelift will bring a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster, which will also have full screen navigation support. Apart from this, the car can also get ventilated front seats (which are currently available only in the Altroz Racer version), new steering wheel in which the Tata logo will glow with light, auto-dimming IRVM, leatherette seats and soft-touch material at some places.
Engine and gearbox
As far as the engine options are concerned, the same options are expected to continue as in the older model —
1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine,
1.2-litre turbo petrol engine,
and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine.
Tata is also expected to offer a 7-speed DCA (dual clutch automatic) gearbox option with the turbo petrol variant this time.
The company will continue with its dual cylinder technology in the CNG model, which has also been spotted during testing recently.
