Operation Sindoor army statement Golden Temple: During the India-Pakistan War, the Army denied deploying any gun inside the Golden Temple to tackle the missile attack earlier this month.

On Tuesday, the Army gave the statement that no arms were sent to the Golden Temple Complex in Amritsar during Operation Sindoor. Even though there is some news that Golden Temple Management was allowed to deploy the Armed forces inside the complex, the Indian Army gave a statement and clarified everything. They haven’t deployed any air defense system, any other air defense resources, or any guns on the premises of Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar (Golden Temple) 

Chief Granthi of the Golden Temple and the supreme religious Body of Sikhs, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) disclosed in the news that the Indian Army was not allowed to deploy any air defense system. Along with them, President of SGPC Harjinder Singh Dhami also confirmed that the Indian Army only contacted them for switching off the light “Blackout” considering the War Situation and the tension going around in India at that time. 

Other Rumors denied by SGPC 

Even though being on a foreign trip, the Chief Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib clarified that no such conversation happened with him about deploying any arms or air defense system inside the premises. Moreover, the Chief Granthi of the Golden Temple, Giani Amarjit Singh, also confirmed that the army was not allowed to deploy the air defense system inside the Golden Temple to deal with the ongoing war between India and Pakistan. The drone attack and Missile attack threat from Pakistan. 

Purity of the place was the top priority, which was maintained fully 

Management of Sri Harmandir Sahib followed all the rules of proper “Blackout”, which was from the District Administration. However, wherever the religious code of conduct was observed, the lights were never turned off in those places, as per the management. They also said that all the places where daily religious activities happen, no one has the right to interfere there, and strict policies are followed at Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple), Sri Akhand Path Sahib place, Guru Ramdas Ji’s Langar, and other gurudwaras. 

“Blackout” Guidelines followed 

During the tense situation going on during the India-Pakistan war, Sri Harmandir Sahib followed the strict code of conduct, and no lights were switched off, maintaining dedication and discipline. The lights were not switched off where ‘Maryaada’ was being followed as per SGPC chief Dham. They have consulted internally with Singh, and only the places outside the premises were switched off following the guidelines of the District Administration.  

Even though the a “Blackout”, all the devotees were coming to perform seva. If there was any intervention by the Army, the locals and devotees would definitely have noticed. Dhami was also praised and acknowledged for saving the country during the war situation between India – Pakistan, but he emphasised not to spread any false rumours about the prime religious place of Sikhs.
