Bajaj Auto Leads EV Sales, Beating TVS & Ola in March 2025

Bajaj Auto Increases Electric Two-Wheelers Sales With An Unrivaled Lead Over TVS And Ola In Its Wake.

In The Sale Of Electric Vehicles, Bajaj Auto Is Farther Ahead Of The Race Compared To TVS.

In India, the electric two-wheeler segment is enjoying a golden period, with record sales in March 2025. Bajaj Auto has been the leader so far, leaving many worthy competitors like TVS and Ola Electric far behind.

Steady Ascendancy: Bajaj on Tracks

Bajaj Auto’s sales of 30,133 units in March rose to a 25.8% market share. This success can be attributed to a robust selling strategy and the development of a reliable range of products backed by a vast dealer network.

The Race For Second Position: TVS And Ola

And thus some while these two were vying for the limelight, TVS iQube was crying foul, scoring sales in strength by taking registration numbers from the fore: 26,481 units claiming their own 22.6% market share.

Ola Electric, once an imminent contender, faded into oblivion by selling only 22,685 units, putting it as low as 19.4% of the market share. The furiously tussling forces between the two staged their recent charm on the already evolving stage of EVs.

Yet Ather And Hero Vida Still Pursue

Other players that mark themselves include-

Ather Energy sold 14,447 units (12.3% market share) and Hero Vida sold 6,539 units, securing 5.6% of the market.

Both brands are gaining a foothold, albeit lagging behind the top three.

Decline In The Month Of February. What Rebounded In March?

Sales of electric two-wheelers dipped by 7% in February 2025, according to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). A few reasons that have made this dip possible are-

Lesser consumer interest due to uncertainties in the economy.

Financing issues are making it tougher to purchase EVs.

Price-conscious buyers are adopting a wait-and-see approach.

March witnessed a sharp rebound as Bajaj, TVS, and Ola offered aggressive propositions on pricing, financing, and marketing to create demand.

What is The Emergence Of Another Challenger?

With the electric scooter demand hiking, industry insiders are on the lookout to check whether any upstarts will make an entry. Will a totally new player turn the ranking upside down? Or will the show go on by Bajaj?

Last Murmur- You See The EV War

Bajaj Auto’s stellar victory in March is a testimony that good foresight in strategy and its realism as against market dominance, counts. But with TVS and Ola well in the fight, time will tell if Bajaj stays ahead.

With the EV revolution unfolding in front of discerning eyes, one waits for the next strategic move in the electric two-wheeler war. Stay tuned
