Bajaj Auto launched its all-new Chetak 35 series electric scooter in the Indian market in December 2024. Three variants have been included in this series, named 3501, 3502 and 3503. In the first phase, the company had revealed the price of only the top model 3501 and the mid variant 3502. Now Bajaj has also launched the Chetak 3503 variant, which is the most affordable model of this series. Its ex-showroom price has been fixed at Rs 1.10 lakh.
If compared, the Bajaj Chetak 3501 model is priced at Rs 1.30 lakh and the 3502 variant is available for Rs 1.22 lakh. In such a situation, the price of the 3503 variant has been kept about Rs 20,000 less than the top variant, making it a better option in the budget.
To make the Chetak 3503 affordable, some premium features have been removed, but this scooter still comes with many important features. In this, you get a colorful LCD display, which easily shows the important information of the scooter. Apart from this, the scooter also has the facility of Hill Hold Assist, which makes it very easy to handle the scooter in stop and go traffic.
The 3503 model also has Bluetooth support for smartphone connectivity, with the help of which you can control music and do things like call management. To improve the riding experience, it also has two ride modes called Eco and Sport. Also, it also gets LED headlights, which provide better lighting at night.
As far as the removed features are concerned, features like touchscreen display and front disc brake are not provided in this variant. However, the scooter has a strong metal body structure and a new chassis design, which also offers 35 liters of under-seat storage space.
Talking about battery and performance, the Bajaj Chetak 3503 has the same 3.5 kWh capacity battery, which is also used in its larger variants 3501 and 3502. However, the top speed of this model has been limited to 63 kmph, which has increased its range slightly. The company claims that this scooter can cover a distance of about 155 km on a single full charge.
To attract customers, Bajaj has introduced the Chetak 3503 in four beautiful colors. These colors are – Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, Cyber White and Matte Gray. In the Indian market, this scooter will compete with affordable electric scooters like Ola S1X +, Ather Rizta S and TVS iQube 3.4 kWh.
The company has started booking for Chetak 3503 and the first delivery is expected to start from the first week of May 2025. With the arrival of this scooter, Bajaj is likely to get a big lead in the affordable electric scooter segment.
