Due to the tension going on between India and Pakistan, the IPL has been postponed for a week. The BCCI clearly stated that, with the war situation going on in the country, cricket doesn’t look good. However, the postponement of the IPL made a dent of big loss.
The loss is not only for the IPL of the BCCI, but this loss is for all the vendors that were directly linked with the IPL. All the businessmen, cities, Shop Vendors, and hotels had incurred losses because of this situation.
However, considering the situation that is going on right now is nothing compared with the losses that are occurring due to the postponement of IPL. It is estimated that the BCCI will suffer around 100 to 125 crore per match.

Foreign players/staff Concerns
IPL is run by a big governing organization and they are trying their best to keep everyone safe. During the IPL there are many foreign players who come to play in IPL. With increasing tension between India and Pakistan, many players have faith in the Indian Government but some of them are very anxious about the situation and are moving back to their respective countries.
The first preference for the BCCi to complete the IPL will be in may only, as there are around 19 matches left, with playoff included. The foreign players which are moving back to their country, may or might not come back to India for IPL considering any other commitments for their country.

If the IPL is not completed in May, then the next chance will be in August and September. To get the match in August and September, the India tour of Bangladesh and the T20 Asia Cup might have to be cancelled.
Can IPL 2025 be completely cancelled?
Considering the situation going on between India and Pakistan, there are chances that the IPL might get cancelled entirely for 2025. In this case, the host broadcaster has to pay a third of the estimated advertising revenue, which is equivalent to Rs 5500 crore. At this time, a halt on the IPL will not only impact on the performance of the RCB but will also impact the pockets.
