The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) extended the ban till 15 May 5:29 am on domestic flights in the country. This decision is taken after considering all the scenarios between India and Pakistan. The tension is already increasing on a daily basis between India and Pakistan. Due to these reasons, these flights are stopped from operating from these airports. All these areas are near to the Border and at high risk from Pakistan. So, not compromising with the common people’s safety, the Government

Since the Indian attack on Pakistan as revenge for Pahalgam, the relationship between India and Pakistan has not been the same. India’s attack on Pakistan’s terrorist camps and PoK has led to tension between these two countries. Flights like Air India and IndiGo have cancelled multiple domestic flights amid this tension. For the passengers’ clarity and transparency, IndiGo has shared a link online from where customers can check their flight status, refund, or rebook. Along with this, Notice to Airmen has been issued (NOTAM). Last night, there were multiple drone attacks on India from Pakistan in areas like Jammu, Rajasthan, and Punjab. 

Security arrangements 

  • All passengers need to go through the Secondary Ladder Point Check (SLPC) 
  • Visitor visa – completely suspended.
  • Deployment of the Air Marshals.
  • 3 hours early arrival at the airport, requested by the Airlines. 

Looking at the India-Pakistan war situation, around 27 airports were suspended in the country on Thursday. Apart from this, looking into the situation, many aviation companies have regulated the advisories for their passengers. Apart from that, passengers are requested to reach the airport 3 hours early, as per the official notice from Air India, which also stated that the check-in gates will be closed 75 minutes before departure.
