Bihar Board Exams 2025: Special & Compartment Papers Start May 2 in Tight Security with New Rules
Over 1.14 Lakhs Students Prepare for Bihar Board High Stakes Exams.
Patna, Bihar BSEB: The Bihar School Examination Board is fully prepared for conducting Special and Compartmental Examinations for both Intermediate Class XII and Matric Class X students starting from May 2, 2025. This year around 52,390 Intermediate (Class 12) and 62,273 Matric (Class 10) examinees will be salvaged through these examinations by the state as the only hope for a second academic chance.
Day One: Language Subjects – In Morning and Afternoon Shifts
On the first day of Intermediate the students from streams Science, Commerce, and Arts will take the Hindi paper from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM, in the morning as a subject on the first day. In the afternoon shift of the examination, which will begin at 2:00 PM. There will be Biology for Science students, History for Arts students, as well as English for vocational stream candidates. Morning sessions for Matric students are dedicated for Hindi, Urdu, Bangla, and Maithili, while the afternoon sessions will be Sanskrit, Arabic, Persian, and Bhojpuri.
Huge Exam Operation Across 251 Centres in Bihar
BSEB has designated 110 centers for Inter and 141 for Matric exams across the state. In Patna district alone, over 3000 Intermediate and 2900 Matric candidates will appear at 12 examination centers. All students will be granted an extra 15 minutes before the commencement of the exam to read the paper. All answer sheets will carry the candidate’s photograph and pre-printed personal details for enhanced transparency.
Matric Written Paper Date & Practical Exam Announced
The written examination for Matric will conclude on May 7 and Intermediate theory papers will conclude on May 13. The practical examination of Inter will be conducted from May 14 to May 15.
Zero Tolerance: Two Years Ban and FIR for Cheating
Strong warning by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishor: Any students who attempt to scale exam center walls or forcibly enter will be debarred from being enrolled in all board exams for two years, and FIR will be filed against them. Students need to report at least one hour in advance as the center gates will close half an hour before the exam starts.
