Blazing Morning Triggers Waves Throughout Prayagraj
The morning wind blew across Prayagraj as it breathed heavy with fury from a blazing inferno in the tent house warehouse situating close to Parade Ground. It was in a high decibel panic with flames and thick smoke shooting into the sky. Waking up panic struck residents by sending them out of their slumbers and many running out from homes in fear. The fire started around dawn and raged furiously as the highly combustible elements in it blackened the stillness of the morning in chaos.

Fire Brigade Sprints into Action; Major Disaster Averted
Multiple fire brigade teams were activated to the site when an alarm rang. In just a matter of minutes, six water tankers rolled under the charge of Chief Fire Officer Rajeev Kumar Pandey and added other firefighting units from nearby areas as the intensity of the scene increased. Pandey confirmed the size of the fire but said that the team managed to contain it thus keeping this disaster under control from hitting any other buildings.
Tent Materials from Maha Kumbh Made Fire Rage
Later officials informed that it was a supplier warehouse of Maha Kumbh. The loft was stuffed with wooden frames, canvas tents and plastic sheets all very flammable. This entire stockpile would get converted into sudden fuel through which the fire could spread very rapidly a race against time for firefighters before they could bring it to control.
Eyewitness describes cylinder like explosion just before fire
Rahul, a worker in a godown situated next to the godown said he heard a loud sound just like a blast from a gas cylinder before the fire broke out. His statement led the investigators to think along the lines of possible gas leakage or electrical fault but there is no official correspondence yet in this regard.
Free from any Injury: Cause Still Unexplained
Fortunately, no injury or death occurred and officials stated that damages were not beyond the warehouse premises. There is now an investigation going on to identify the cause of the fire and if safety measures were properly taken at the site.
