Recently, the mobile application, which was providing online education to lakhs of students, was removed from the Play Store. When checked properly, it was the non-payment of Amazon Web Services (AWS), which the application was using to offer cloud services.
BYJU’s has been offering services and online Education to students from the 4th to 12th standard. The app has been very helpful for the journey and future goals. In the app, the students were able to prepare for the Entrance exams. Soon after the app was removed from the Play Store, everyone was shocked and began to Panic. As a consumer, if I had also purchased the package for my children, then I would also have been worried about the next steps of learning for them.
As per the News Agency PTI, the removal of BYJU’s application from the Play Store is due to irregularity in the payment of the Vendor. Amazon Web Services is a vendor for BYJU’s, from which the cloud services are being offered.
BYJU’s is listed on the App Store
All the services that were directly linked with the cloud-based functionality have stopped working on the iOS devices as well. Currently, the app is only available in the App Store. The app being available in the App Store means that it can be downloaded for iOS users, but not for Android users. Features like: Video Streaming, Paid content, etc, are no longer functional for the iOS users as well.
Apart from BYJU’s, the other applications of BYJU’s, like Exam Prep, Think and Learn Premium, are available on the Play Store.
