Champions League match preview
This year’s Champions with the new league system and many big upsets has been interesting to say the least. Here is a detailed preview of the Champions Clash between Arsenal and PSG.
Overview:
Both teams are yet to win a Champions League title and are in red-hot form, to say the least. As the second and final leg of the semi-finals is near, nobody is sure about which team will advance to the next stage, that is, the final of this year’s Champions League.
The 4 teams semi-finalists of this year’s Champions League are Arsenal, PSG, Barcelona, and Inter Milan.
First leg’s score: PSG 1 Arsenal 0
The first leg was a competitive one, but in the end it was PSG that emerged victorious with a tight and challenging victory of 1:0. The goal was scored by Paris’s star winger, Ousmane Dembele who scored a pure instinctual finish.
As the score is still so tight, nothing can be said about which team will advance to the next round.
Team overview of PSG:
Paris Saint-Germain, is one of, if not the, favourites to win the Champions League this year. After a slow start to the season, the team has eventually picked up its form and is now in the semi-final, only due to the hard work and efforts of the team’s manager, Luis Enrique.
Team overview of Arsenal:
Arsenal is being somewhat termed as giant killers due to their absolute domination over Real Madrid in the quarter finals. They, under the leadership of Mikel Arteta are a team that can cope the pressure of the loss in the first leg. Many even believe that Arsenal can mount a comeback against Madrid if they want.
Players to watch:
Ousmane Dembele: Been in fine form recently, most of PSG’s success in this season is because of his contribution only.It was only due to his goal in the first leg that PSG were able to win.
Bukayo Saka: Star winger, scored a fabulous goal against Madrid. If Arsenal will make a comeback in the second leg, he is sure to have an important contribution.
Gianluigi Donnarumma: A really underrated player, fabulous keeper and can single-handedly carry PSG to the knockouts.
